Great Pyrenees / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (medium coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Young : : Large
We don't know much about Magnolia's past because she was picked up as a stray in Corsicana, TX. She has double dew claws, which are a breed distinctive for Great Pyrenees, but her coat has hints of gold or lemon that make us think she may have either Yellow Lab or possibly Golden Retriever in her family tree. She's underweight but should start putting on some weight now that she is getting plenty of good dog food; we think a healthy weight for her might be around 75 lbs, maybe even 80 lbs. Magnolia was very skittish in the shelter, but since getting out of jail, she is learning quickly that humans are OK. Her whole body wiggles with excitement when she comes running to us for love and attention, and we're working to break her from the bad habit of wanting to jump up to greet us with a kiss on the face. (It's adorable but isn't really a good habit for a big dog.) She gets along well with other dogs and is very playful. Judging from the way she barks at our barn cats, we think she would probably chase them if she had the chance. (So we don't give her the chance.) Magnolia has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, so she is accepting applications and looking forward to meeting prospective adopters. If you would like to meet Magnolia, please submit an application on our website at www.bluebonnetrescue.org. More about MagnoliaGood with Dogs, Requires a yard, Playful, Eager To Please, Intelligent
