Great Pyrenees (long coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Adult : : Large
Jackson and an older female Pyr came from a farm in south central Texas, surrendered by owners who loved them but could no longer take proper care of them. They protected a flock of back yard chickens, and lived in close proximity to the house, with the back porch being one of their favorite spots for napping. Jackson is a sweet dog who gets along well with all the dogs in his foster home, but he can sometimes be a little bit slow to accept a new dog. Once he decides they're OK, he will play with the other dog and nap with them and be the best of friends. Jackson likes a comfy bed, and he is well-behaved in the crate. We don't close him in a crate, but often CHOOSES the crate for his naps. He arrived here with a Jolly Ball, and he LOVES playing with it. He also loves play/wrestling with other big dogs. And he loves people. He's just an all-around great dog.
