Lovey came to us after her people had to retire from farming due to health issues. She spent the last few years living in the pasture and protecting goats and chickens. Her family tried to bring her into the house to let her "retire" from her job as a working livestock guardian, but Lovey wasn't happy living inside. So they found us! At Windsong Ranch, Lovey lives in a paddock protecting some of our Nigerian Dwarf goats. She is OK with other LGDs but seems to consider other dogs suspect until she's convinced they won't harm her goats. She has been very friendly with human visitors -- one visitor even remarked that she lives up to her name -- Miss Lovey Dovey. We think Lovey would do well as a solo LGD on a small homestead. She loves her family and appreciates getting plenty of attention. She could also be paired with another LGD on a larger place, but she would need a partner that she approves of and who would allow her to be the boss.
