Elsa needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?
Elsa is a pretty girl who came to us from Arizona, as part of an extreme hoarding case. She and the other dogs that were rescued had been left in the field with livestock and not well socialized with people. Elsa is friendly but cautious on meeting new people and she has shown us that she prefers living in the house rather than in the pasture. She has grown quite a bit in her socialization since she has been with us, and is now a friendly and well adjusted member of our house pack. Due to the number of dogs that we might have at any one time, our house can be a bit chaotic at times, and Elsa has shown us that she would do best in a home with a peaceful and quiet environment. Elsa is safe with both goats and chickens, and one of her favorite activities is to go out to the chicken yard with us every day, although she's ready to come back to the house when you are. Elsa does well in a crate, but she is reliably house-trained, so she doesn't need a crate. She gets along well with other dogs, but doesn't seem to need the company of another dog in order to be happy. When she has been around puppies, Elsa has been very protective of them, so if you are looking for a companion for a puppy, Elsa would definitely be a good choice. She has been vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and heartworm tested (negative), so she is ready to go to a new home! Submit your application on our website today - www.bluebonnetrescue.org.
