Great Pyrenees / Anatolian Shepherd / Mixed (medium coat) : : Male : : Baby : : Large
Though you wouldn't know it to look at him, Merle's mom is a beautiful white Great Pyrenees with just a couple of pale lemon spots on her back. Merle's dad is a mystery to us. Every puppy in the litter has different coloring, and one of those puppies has green eyes, so we thought maybe the dad could be an Australian Shepherd, which can have a coat of almost any color. But Merle's size and his mellow temperament certainly don't seem very much like most Aussies. We're choosing Anatolian Shepherd as the other contributor to Hank's DNA because that breed's coat, size, and temperament are a pretty good match for Merle. Merle gets along with a wide variety of livestock, dogs, cats, and other pets in his foster home. He is playful with his siblings and the small dogs in the family, but is generally much calmer than the average puppy. He will make a wonderful addition to any family.
