Biscuit has lived outside most of her life, and has been an excellent livestock guardian dog. But she has an almost paralyzing fear of thunderstorms, so needs to be in a home where she can come inside the house during storms. That's not always an option for a working LGD, so Biscuit is a bit like Goldilocks, looking for a home that is JUUUUST RIGHT.

She does OK inside the house, but really doesn't want to live there full-time. She just needs to be able to come inside during storms. If we give her Melatonin, or CBD oil, and then put her in a crate in a quiet room, she will just nap through most of the storm. During normal good weather, Biscuit gets along with other dogs, but during a storm, her anxiety can make her lash out, which is another good reason for offering her something to calm her nerves and giving her quiet space in a crate.

Other than during storms, Biscuit is a very sweet, easy dog to manage, so we think that her storm anxiety is a small price to pay to have her around.  If you would like to meet Biscuit, please complete the application on our website at www.bluebonnetrescue.org or make plans to attend 2nd Saturday at the Ranch -- every month on the second Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM.
