Sammi is one of the seven Coalgate Kids, who came from Coalgate OK. We didn't see the parents, but we were told that the mom is a Great Pyrenees and the dad is probably an Anatolian Shepherd. Since the age of about 8 weeks old, they have been raised around goats, chickens, and cattle. With training and supervision, they could grow into good livestock guardian dogs. And of course they could become wonderful companions. Sammi is currently living in the pasture with our goats, sheep, and longhorn cattle under the supervision of our best livestock guardian dog Rennie. Sammi is extremely friendly with people and we believe she could easily make the transition from living in the pasture to living in the house.
