Say hello to Giacomo — Jock for short. Jock was first found with a wire wrapped around his back leg, probably by a snare set by someone hunting. The cut was so deep that the bone was exposed. A nearby family saved Jock from an uncertain future. Jock was surrendered by his owner, who wasn’t interested in spending any money to get him the vet care he clearly needed. So with our support, our friends stepped up to take Jock to the vet, where he received wound care and antibiotics to deal with the infection.

Jock is about 2-3 years old, and is possibly a mini Texas Heeler (Aussie/Heeler mix) or a Cowboy Corgi who didn’t get the low rider genes. He is such a sweet little guy — crate-trained, house/potty-trained, walks nicely on a leash— just an all around good boy.
