Annie is a pinto Anatolian Shepherd who came to us from a small homestead that had chickens, ducks, turkeys, an emu, a Watusi, a few Nigerian Dwarf goats, barn cats, and many other dogs. She is the mom of the Apple Dumpling Gang puppies, who are also available for adoption.

Annie is a bit shy, but she definitely enjoys affection from people. She had no experience with a leash, so we've been working on this as time allows, but she will still need work in this important skill. Annie came to us with a few health challenges that we are addressing, so we have been keeping her in a small area to make it easier for us to give her daily medication. Thankfully, she tested negative for heartworms, and we're very grateful for that! By mid-November, she should be back to full good health, and then we can move her into a paddock or pasture with a few of our goats. Until then, she is enjoying life and getting used to our routine.

We think Annie would be happiest on a small homestead similar to the one she came from -- just a few acres, at least one other dog for companionship, and plenty of time to spend with the family. If you would like to consider Annie as an addition to your family, please complete the application here.
