Big Mo is not a "Barely Animated Snow Drift" as one dog show host describes the Great Pyrenees breed. Rather, Big Mo is a VERY animated dog with the energy and strength to be lead dog in a sled team (though of course he's the wrong breed for that!). He wants to be on the go, not lying around like a couch potato. He needs an active adopter who can manage a big dog (115 lbs at his last vet check-up) and who is willing to take him along on walks or hikes or other outdoor activities.

Big Mo tried living in the house, and that is just not the life he prefers. At his last foster home, he made it clear that he would rather spend his time in the yard. So he will need a securely fenced yard with excellent shelter -- maybe your garage or covered patio -- not just an ordinary dog house for this big guy, thank you very much. He is currently living at Windsong Ranch, where he gets along with other dogs, tries to chase the barn cats, and must be kept away from the livestock because he seems to have a high prey drive. So don't be thinking Big Mo is going to be an LGD just because he prefers living outside. With time, he may decide that living in the house is OK for at least PART of the time -- maybe during ugly weather. But you'll have to investigate that slowly to be sure he doesn't decide to shred your sofa or baseboards when you leave him closed up too long.
